Rita Pritchett is a native Floridian who was raised in Brevard County and has lived here for over 54 years. She and her husband Dan have been married for 22 years. They have six children: Matt, Aaron, Bethany, Cheryl, Lisa and Sandra and eight grandchildren: Jacob, Emilee, Hannah, Joshua, Malahki, Alexa, Julian, and Aiden.
Dan is an Insurance Agent, and is actively involved as a Minister at New Life Christian Fellowship.
Rita Pritchett graduated from Titusville High School. She later attended the University of Central Florida, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Business and a Masters in Accounting. Her focus was on Not for Profit and Governmental Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in the State of Florida. Since 2008, Rita has been an Instructor at Eastern Florida State College (formerly Brevard Community College), where she teaches Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Accounting for Managers, Tax and Small Business Accounting classes.
Rita was reelected to second term on the Council for the City of Titusville. She was elected in 2016 as the Brevard County Commissioner, District 1 and served as Chair in 2018. We are proud of the accomplishments we have made over the past 3 years.
